For Smokin' Music - It's Got To Be Home Grown!

All of the music available here are bands that have been hand selected to join the Homegrown Music Network. Not just any band is allowed into this network of fine musicians.

Here are the requirements listed in the HGMN site which are used to judge if a band is viable for entrance into the HGM network:

“We evaluate each group in several categories including:

    1. Music - if the music moves us - we'll look at the other categories. If it doesn't - end of process.
    2. Marketing & Promotions - Is the band working hard to spread the word about their music?
    3. Touring - bands score higher points when they tour frequently in many regions.
    4. Online presence - does the band have a website, how well is it maintained? Can they be easily reached via email?
    5. Organization/Business - Do they have a good team and structure in place to help them grow to the next level?

Each band has to receive a passing music score from each person at HG headquarters before other categories are evaluated. Think of it as quality control for your ears. In our opinion, no bad bands make it into the Network.

When bands meet all of our criteria and score high enough they are sent an invitation to join the Network. The invitation explains how the Network helps them and how they can contribute. “

Please note ... This is NOT PHLUME MANAGEMENT’S CRITERIA WHEN SELECTING ARTISTS. This text has been copied from the HGMN web site to explain how THEY select the artists to be included in the network.
