After three years of touring throughout North America with Percy Hill, Aaron Katz has decided to step out from behind the drums and express himself freely, without constraints, at the front of a new self titled band.
In the fall of 2000, Aaron began recording his solo album with long time collaborator Josh Pryor as Engineer and Co-Producer, recruiting the best musicians to join him in bringing his creative vision to fruition. The result, entitled "Simplest Warrior," combines the smooth, soulful vibe of Percy Hill's "Color in Bloom" with the straight forward singer/songwriter accessibility of a Paul Simon, Sting, or Dave Matthews.
In an interesting turn of events, Aaron Katz met with Nate Proper and Shane Comer of Superfrog and worked with them to record and produce their debut album "Year of the Frog". At the same time, through different avenues, Chad Fillion, Owner and founder of Phlume met with Superfrog to discuss management possibilities and booking opportunities and the chance to sign the new band with Phlume Artist Management...
Through the powers that be, the winds of change and a series of fortunate events, Aaron and Chad are now talking and discussing plans on a union of sorts with the two companies ...
